Remodeled Osler Designed Condo

Veritas Custom Homes remodeled this luxury condominium in the Oslund Condominium community that was designed by architect David Osler in the 1980s on land that was once his family’s farm. Osler’s six-decade career included designing hundreds of single-family homes, condos, apartments, churches, libraries, schools, government buildings, and businesses around Ann Arbor.

“The Veritas team managed our condominium renovation process seamlessly, finishing the project on schedule and within budget. We were consistently impressed by the punctuality and meticulous craftsmanship displayed by their team. The attention to detail has resulted in a beautiful and functional living space. We wholeheartedly recommend Veritas.”

Oslund Condos was David Osler’s most personal work after his own home and office, and he often spoke about Oslund as a project inspired by nature — the units open up like a flower as you enter and walk through the adjoining rooms.

This condo is one of just 27 in the development, which is surrounded by lush gardens and was designed to fit the site with a stepped-up roofline that follows the topography of the land.

Veritas Custom Homes renovated the space in way that honors the home’s private, natural elegance while also opening up the space and bringing in more natural light through the addition of new windows and multiple skylights in the stairwell, dining room, owner’s suite, and guest bathroom.

We also removed two interior kitchen walls to transform the galley kitchen into a larger, more welcoming space with a built-in custom breakfast nook. To create seamless transitions from new to existing materials, we used discarded flooring to create intricate floor matching at wall and room transitions.
