John studied Accounting and Finance at Western Michigan University and began his career in accounting after graduation. During college, he spent his summers painting to help pay for school — an experience that sparked his interest in construction.

In 2007, he founded his own painting company and learned how to operate and manage a business, as well as bookkeeping, taxes, managing cash flow, managing employees and payroll, and other valuable skills.

John joined Veritas in 2019, initially working in the field. As the company has grown, John’s role has evolved into Accounting Manager, where he supports operations and ensures the financial aspect of each project runs smoothly.

Outside of work, John is an avid runner who began running in high school and continues to participate in local races, including the Dexter–Ann Arbor Half Marathon. He also gives back to his community by serving as Treasurer for a small nonprofit and as a member of his church’s finance committee.
